Hi, I’m Musammath K. Akther, Secretary of Birmingham Community Support. I am passionate about continuous learning and personal development, and I believe that growth comes from trying new things and embracing opportunities.I joined Birmingham Community Support to inspire women to build confidence, discover new skills, and realise their potential. I enjoy encouraging others to step outside their comfort zones, take on new challenges, and enjoy the journey of learning.In my role, I aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to grow. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and I am proud to share this passion with the women we support.

Hi, I’m Abida Khanam. I’m full of energy and love exploring new places and meeting new people. I enjoy mending and designing clothes, and I’m always coming up with different ideas.I’m passionate about empowering women to step out of their comfort zones and try new things. There’s so much to experience, and every new adventure is a way to build confidence and grow. I hope to inspire other women to be curious, brave, and enjoy exploring the world around them.
Farzana Abid Hussain
Women’s Support & Islamic Guidance Volunteer
Hi,I am a compassionate and dedicated volunteer with a background in Islamic Studies, committed to supporting and empowering women within the community. Through my role with Birmingham Community Support, I provide guidance, encouragement, and emotional support to help women better understand their rights and build confidence in themselves. I am passionate about promoting a positive and accurate understanding of Islam, challenging misconceptions, and encouraging inclusivity and respect. My strong communication skills and empathetic approach allow me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and support them in overcoming barriers. I am motivated to make a meaningful difference by helping women move forward with dignity, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose.
